Jar Loft terms of use

Jar Loft is a learning and screen-time tool for families. A parent or guardian sets it up and manages purchases.

Using Jar Loft

Use Jar Loft on devices you own or are authorised to manage. You choose the app limits and family rules. The lock relies on Apple’s Screen Time permissions and device settings. It is not a guarantee that every route to an app or video is blocked. See the support page for known limitations.

Free and paid plans

The free plan keeps the lock working and includes a daily allowance and one earning round a day. Optional monthly and annual subscriptions unlock the family plan. The family plan allows more earning rounds each day, up to the limits you set. A lifetime option, when offered, is a one-time purchase and does not renew. The app shows the features, price, currency and billing period before you confirm with Apple.

Your free trial

Eligible subscribers can start a 7-day free trial. Apple determines eligibility, and the app shows whether the trial applies before purchase. After the trial, the selected subscription becomes paid unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

Billing and renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase, or when an eligible free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the renewal price shown for your plan. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

Manage or cancel

On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Jar Loft. You can manage or cancel there. Deleting the app or choosing “Delete all data” does not cancel a subscription. For trial cancellation, follow the timing above; access after cancellation follows the expiry shown by Apple.

Apple’s cancellation instructions explain the steps. Apple handles billing and refund requests under its terms and applicable law. Use Restore in Jar Loft to check purchases on your Apple Account.

Licence and privacy

Use of the app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement. These subscription details supplement that agreement. Our privacy policy explains local data and anonymous counts. Nothing here limits your mandatory consumer rights.
